We’re thrilled to introduce you to one of our favourite sunglasses’ brands, Maui Jim. Their story began back in 1980 on the beautiful Ka’anapali beach in Lahaina, Maui, where they started as a small company selling sunglasses. Maui Jim saw the need for technology that could tackle intense glare and harmful UV rays while enhancing the island's vibrant colours. This led to the creation of their amazing PolarizedPlus2® lens.
What started as their Classic Collection with just seven styles has now grown to over 125 styles, all of which are polarized and provide 100% protection from UVA and UVB rays. Despite their growth, Maui Jim’s heart remains in Lahaina, Maui, where they continue to design and test all their sunglasses.
Here at our practice, we love Maui Jim because they take their inspiration from the sun. It’s central to their work, play, and relaxation. They are constantly innovating to reveal more of the world’s vibrant colours while protecting your eyes from harsh glare and harmful rays.
