Einstoffen takes a distinctive approach to material development. While many brands stick to traditional materials like acetate and metal, Einstoffen ventured into the innovative use of wood right from the start. The founders, a group of Austrian designers, were captivated by the potential of wood as a sustainable and creative material for eyewear. They experimented with various types of wood, including birch, beech, and walnut, perfecting techniques to shape and finish the wood into unique, functional frames.

What really makes Einstoffen stand out is their meticulous attention to detail in frame design. Each frame is crafted with subtle yet impressive features that distinguish them from other eyewear brands. One of our favorite details is the inclusion of Swiss contour maps on the temple tips, a nod to the brand’s Swiss heritage. The subtle wooden detailing adds a touch of nature to each frame, enhancing its uniqueness.

Adding to their charm, Einstoffen frames are named after professions, such as Illusionist or Wrestler, rather than using generic names. This creative approach adds personality and character to the frames, making them feel like individual personalities rather than mere accessories.
